What is your Cage? - #3

Are you a caged bird screaming to be free?

What cage has you silenced and unable to see?

Do you find yourself justifying the bars that keep you in?

Always excusing the painful behaviors and the ugly sin?

Do you find yourself always pouring out constant grace?

Sucking the life out of you and leaving not a single trace?

“Be a good Bird….forgive and let go,” you hear in your head.

Did you ignore your gut and listen to what the voices said?

Listen, caged bird, you weren’t created for a lonely cage.

God has given you the entire world for your stage.

Yes, you will hear people say how wrong it is to set yourself free.

But the greatest commandment is love don’t you see.

God would never want you to be in that cage in misery and pain.

He has healing, love, a purpose, and a life with Him to gain.

Oh caged bird, I pray you have courage to find the open door.

Let God free you and bring healing as you learn to soar.
