My Name is Nicci Jo

And I write to Inspire

Hello, my name is Nicci Jo! Sharing my writing with the world….something I never thought I would do. But then God taught me that all the things He puts on my heart are not just for me, but for the hearts of others. So here I am, writing from my heart to yours.

Beyond writing, I am a momma of three beautiful girls! Two of them are out of the nest…..one is happily married with two boys and the other just starting her journey as a freshman in college. My baby girl is a sophomore in high school and I dread the day she leaves home. Don’t we all dread that final birdie leaving the nest?!

My favorite thing to do besides writing, is to be with my family. I love to watch my girls compete in MMA and wrestling, sing in choir concerts, and whatever else brings joy to their hearts. I love to cuddle with them and watch ridiculous romcom and hallmark movies that are so predictable, but yet we still sit and cry. Love my family time!

I also love to do anything active or competitive….just love challenging my mind and body. Some of my favorite things are going to the gym, hiking, jumping on my bike and taking off on the beautiful NWA trails …..oh so blessed to live here! Also love some sand volleyball, dancing, being on the river, and even a game night….especially a good game of spades. I will say though, I love some downtime as well…it is all about balance….so a good long soak in the tub, lounging with a good book and coffee, or even snuggling on the couch watching a great movie will put me in my happy place so fast.

Another love I have and something I was born to do is teach. I have been teaching since 2006 and have gotten to experience just about every grade and love it. Currently, I am teaching 6th and 8th grade Science! We have a blast and I absolutely love those alien middle schoolers.

I can’t go without mentioning my precious fur babies…Maggie is a precious girl that we only got because her first owner took her back saying “she was too ugly.” Her rejection became our greatest gift….sweetest dog ever! We also ended up with a kitten named Lemon….still don’t know how that happened or how I feel about that since I am not a huge cat person. I will let you know. LOL!

Nina, was my sweet little chihuahua. She was the "world's greatest lap dog" and will never be forgotten. She passed in May of 2023 and her death led me to write my first novel. Love and miss that girl every day.

I pray that every time you read something from my heart, that your heart is inspired, warmed, and forever changed. Happy reading!
